Duke's Defense Leads to Stunning Victory Over Clemson

The Duke-Clemson college football game has already happened on September 4, 2023, at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham, North Carolina. Duke won the game 28-7.

The Blue Devils jumped out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, thanks to a touchdown run by Mataeo Durant and a field goal by Charlie Ham.

Clemson got on the board with a field goal in the second quarter, but Duke responded with a touchdown pass from Gunnar Holmberg to Jalon Calhoun to take a 21-3 lead into halftime.

Duke's defense was the key to the victory, holding Clemson to just 233 total yards. The Blue Devils also forced two turnovers, a fumble and an interception.

Mataeo Durant was the star of the game for Duke, rushing for 129 yards and two touchdowns. Gunnar Holmberg threw for 147 yards and a touchdown.
